Glenn Frey signed strat

Glenn Frey, founding member of the Eagles, signed this ’89 Fender Stratocaster.

This guitar has been played, and has the characteristic metal weathering you would expect from a vintage instrument. This particular Fender has several special features. The knife-edge tremolo bridge was designed to float smoothly with graphite offset block saddles. The lower tone knob has a center-detent that it clicks into between 5 and 6.

Exclusively available at Downtown Vintage Guitars, this fine guitar is on consignment from established celebrity signature collector Lonn Friend. Many other signed guitars we’ve seen were cheap crap without the signature. This is one of many signed guitars in our store that would be quite expensive, even before the signature.

You can own this, inquire in person or call if out-of-state.

Glenn Lewis Frey (pronounced Fry; born November 6, 1948) is an American musiciansingersongwriter, and actor, best known as a founding member of the Eagles. Frey formed the Eagles after he met drummer Don Henley in 1970 and the two eventually joined Linda Ronstadt’s backup band for her summer tour. The Eagles formed in 1971 and released their debut album in 1972. Glenn Frey would play guitar with the Eagles as well as piano and keyboards, and shared lead vocals with Don Henley. The Eagles broke up in 1980 after becoming one of the most successful bands of all time. Frey sang lead vocals on Eagles hits like “Take It Easy“, “Peaceful Easy Feeling“, “Tequila Sunrise“, “Already Gone“, “Lyin’ Eyes“, “New Kid in Town“, “Heartache Tonight“, etc. After the breakup of the Eagles in 1980, Frey embarked on a successful solo career. He released his debut album in 1982 and would go on to record such Top 40 hits like “The One You Love”, “Smuggler’s Blues”, “Sexy Girl”, “The Heat Is On“, and “You Belong To The City“. As a member of the Eagles, Frey has won six Grammys, and five American Music Awards. The Eagles have sold over 120 million albums worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 1998. As a solo artist and with the Eagles combined, Frey has released 24 Top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot 100. He formed with Henley one of the most successful songwriting duos in music during the 1970’s. –excerpt from wikipedia
